一、内容解读
1.书面表达的形式多种多样，但主要可分为三类：应用文、看图作文和提示作文。
2.应用文包括英文通知、启事、便条、日记、书信、贺卡和E-mail等形式。看图作文可以是一幅图，也可以是多副图；可以是填词、写句子，也可以是根据提示词写短文。提示作文经常是给出英文或汉语提示，提示可以是文字，也可以是图表。
二、能力解读
1.应用文，要求能够掌握常见几种类的写作技巧；看图作文，要能够根据图画和提示词语，明确考查意图，弄清图画内容，把握情节线索，完整表达意思；提示作文，要根据提示写出意思连贯、符合逻辑的短文。要掌握记叙文、说明文和夹叙夹议文的写作方法及其技巧。
2.能够运用常用词汇、基本句式和语法知识，按要求写出规范的句子，表达自己的思想。
三、具体例子
（一）人物描写类：
1.请根据下面所给李玲的个人小档案，以My good friend为题，写一篇英语短文，介绍李玲的基本情况。要求条理清楚，语句通顺，体现表中的全部内容，不得少于12句话。
